What is collected

  • Account details: the name, email address and profile you sign in with.
  • Content you publish, including drafts, comments and uploaded images.
  • Technical records: request logs, approximate location derived from network address, and device or browser type.

Why it is collected

  • To deliver blogs to readers, to keep accounts secure, to prevent spam and abuse, and to measure whether features work.

Sharing

  • Published content is public by design and can be indexed by search engines.
  • Personal details are not sold. They are disclosed only with your instruction, or where the law requires it.

Retention

  • Drafts and posts are kept until you delete them. A deleted blog is recoverable for 90 days, then removed.
  • Security and abuse logs are kept for a limited period and then aggregated.

Your controls

  • Export a full copy of any blog, including drafts, at any time.
  • Delete individual posts, a whole blog, or the account behind it.
  • Ask what is held about you and request correction.

Cookies

  • Cookies keep you signed in and remember editor preferences. Blocking them will sign you out but will not stop you reading blogs.
